Each month in ‘Evangelicals Now’ a publication I highly recommend for challenge, prayer and information, there is a feature in which Ten Questions are put to someone who is in Christian ministry. This month the questions were put to Geoff Thomas who for 50 years was Pastor of Alfred Place Baptist Church in Aberystwyth.
One of the questions each month is ‘What would you say to the wider evangelical world?’ and this was Geoff’s answer-
I would say to the evangelical world, ‘Love more and more, deeper and deeper, love your fellow believers, love your families, love your neighbours, love the immigrants, love your enemies. Watch your speech, let it always be mixed with the salt of grace. Love covers over a multitude of sins – not exposing them. Seek to grow in knowledge. Sit under the best ministry you can find on every single Sunday. That is not a luxury. Encourage your young ministers and especially encourage your old ministers. Let your old and young ministers learn how to encourage Christians both from the pulpit and personally.’
